CYIA - Christian Youth in Action

What is Christian Youth in Action?

Christian Youth in Action (CYIA®) is a summermissions program developed and run by Child Evangelism Fellowship staff and volunteers.Students learn how to effectively share the gospelmessage with boys and girls at the week long training school and teach 5-Day Clubs® in their local areas. CYIA gives students many opportunities to witness the miracle of salvation that takes place in children who hear and receive the Good News.

Who can go?

CYIA is open to students who are going into 8th grade (at least 13 years of age) through college.

What will you do?

Pre-training: (Check with local area for dates)

  - Attend classes that will prepare you for CYIA Training School and your local summer ministry

CYIA Training School: June 19-25, ‘10

  - Attend challenging training classes
  - Prepare and practice for your 5-Day Club
  - With your team, teach a 5-Day Club during the week and participate in open-air witnessing
  - Enjoy recreation and fellowship with friends
  - Be challenged to walk closer with the Lord as you serve Him

In Your Local Area:

  - Teach in at least three 5-Day Clubs (or two 5-DC and one approved ministry)
  - Share the Gospel in the local fairs

How do I apply?

Contact your local CEF® office or download an application packet. Applications need to be returned to your local director no later than April 20th (or as determined by your local area).
